2014/15
has been a very successful year at Jessop! The year
started with the federation between Jessop and Stockwell Primary School being
made official. The Jessop Stockwell
federation is an united partnership of many years of hard work bringing
together two great schools to share expertise and good practise.
The
wonderful Year 6 ABRSM Exam Results, and the Year 6 Graduation Ceremony at The
Wigmore Hall on Saturday 11th July, will round off a fantastic year for our
musicians and their LMM Tutors. All 16 children passed: 2 Distinctions, 11
Merits and 3 Passes. Every week just over 200 children have musicianship,
violin and cello lessons. The Federation Big One musical event was also a
fantastic performance which demonstrated a high level of consistency and skills from our children at Jessop and at our
federation school, Stockwell.
We
have had many other successful events such as our fairs, our carnival, and many
other wonderful events which bring our families and communities together.
Jessop Primary School continues
to be renowned internationally for its outstanding education. The school hosted
two visits from Oslo and Denmark. The
international visitors were impressed with our creative curriculum, teachers
planning, the Children’s Centre and the fantastic musical opportunities our
children have.
We would finally like to
congratulate the Year 6 children on how well they responded to their SATs; they
were all very calm and stress free and the results were excellent including
100% in Maths. I would like to take this opportunity to wish our Year 6’s the
best of luck in their new journey.
I
wish you all a wonderful rest and look forward to seeing you all in the
September!
