End of year message from the Executive Headteacher

Jessop Primary School remains a place of great activity and excitement. We hope that the blog has reminded you of the activities and events in which your children may have participated in. It should also give you flavour of the different events and activities that have taken place in which you may not always be directly connected to.

It is fair to say that 2015/2016 has been an impressive year with excellent results from the Early Years Foundation stage to Year 6.

We were also happy to celebrate with you many different cultural events such as Portuguese afternoon, Diwali, Black history month, amongst many others!

The school has raised lots of money for many charities by taking part in many external events such as Red Nose Day, Remembrance Day, Jeans for Genes day, Period day, amongst many others.

We look forward to 2016/2017 being another memorable year at Jessop Primary School!

Summer Fair June 2016

Once again, Jessop Primary School beat the weather at our Summer Fair; we ate, drank, played games, hooked some ducks and scored some goals. Our ears rejoiced at the harmonic music played by the school band. Smiles could be seen by everyone who attended. This year there were a number of exciting games and activities including a Bouncy slide, Bouncy Castle, Face Painting, Guess the weight of the cake, Tattoo transfers, Hook the Ducks and many more. Let’s not forget the magician there to put a smile on all our faces! Hot dogs, burgers and fruit were extremely popular. This could not have been possible without the support from all our wonderful parent volunteers and everyone who came to join in the fun.
We are still counting up all the money that was raised which will be used to support school trips, playground equipment and hi-visibility vests. If you would like to suggest ways in which the school could allocate this money remember to attend the Parent Forum or our next coffee morning on Friday 1st July 2016 .Thank you to everyone who attended and especially those parents and carers who supported with the setting up and clearing away. In addition to this, many of the parents and carers baked cakes, samosas and rice, donated bric-a-brac and ran their own stall. If you would like to be part of the running of our next fair then please do not hesitate in attending our meetings on the run up to the Winter Fair.
